For those of you who don't know who Greg Paulus is, believe me it is not uncommon not to know, he is the point guard for the Duke Blue Devils.

So instead of trying his luck by declaring for the NBA draft he is decided that professional football might be the better route to take. His first attempt will be with the Green Bay Packers.

Paulus would be hoping for nothing more than a backup quarterback role behind Aaron Rodgers if the Green Bay Packers decided to take him on draft day. This isn't just something completely out of the blue for the Duke point guard, he was actually a pretty exceptional quarterback in High school in which he was recruited pretty heavily by big time football programs like Notre Dame and the University of Miami.

There is no real indication if Paulus will be able to make the successful transition, but much like Donovan McNabb did back at Syracuse this is not terribly uncommon.
