For those of you who don't know who Greg Paulus is, believe me it is not uncommon not to know, he is the point guard for the Duke Blue Devils.

So instead of trying his luck by declaring for the NBA draft he is decided that professional football might be the better route to take. His first attempt will be with the Green Bay Packers.

Paulus would be hoping for nothing more than a backup quarterback role behind Aaron Rodgers if the Green Bay Packers decided to take him on draft day. This isn't just something completely out of the blue for the Duke point guard, he was actually a pretty exceptional quarterback in High school in which he was recruited pretty heavily by big time football programs like Notre Dame and the University of Miami.

There is no real indication if Paulus will be able to make the successful transition, but much like Donovan McNabb did back at Syracuse this is not terribly uncommon.

Back in the day when Michael Vick was a household name for a good reason, the superstar quarterback that was arguably the fastest player in the NFL was the star attraction of the NFL. Tom Brady and the New England Patriots might have been winning Super Bowls, but Vick was just amazing to watch.

The Atlanta Falcons may have not won the game on Sunday, but be sure that there was going to be a Vick highlight on Sportscenter that would have us saying "Wow!" all week long!

Now Michael Vick is nothing more than a convict that can still play, at least we think he can still play. There is no doubt that he was one of the most entertaining players ever to play the game, but is he worth what he thinks he is worth?

It seems as though Vick thinks he has not lost a thing since going to jail. He is claiming that he should be making at least $10 million a season when or if he makes it back into the NFL once he is released from prison.

Is he worth that much? When he wasn't one of the most hated people in the country without a doubt, probably more, but with all the making up he is going to have to do there is no way in hell he is worth that much. He is going to be lucky even to make it on an NFL franchise as a kick returner.

The only thing you hear coming out of Denver these days is constant rumors of bad blood between Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler and new head coach Josh McDaniels followed by trade possibilities for one of the best qbs in the game.

Cutler is young, has a very strong arm and is a Pro Bowl caliber quarterback with a great receiving core including Brandon Marshall and Eddie Royal. The problem is that Mike Shanahan's successor wants to trade him. Why? Who the hell knows, but it seems like a forgone conclusion that between now and when the season starts Jay Cutler will be playing somewhere else.

The possible trade destinations have been pretty limited. Supposedly the majority of the teams in the league have some interest in the Pro Bowl quarterback and for good reason, but what can the Broncos get in return.

The three teams that keep coming up in trade talks are the Detroit Lions, Tampa Bay Bucs and Cleveland Browns. The Lions can offer the number one draft which would end bringing Georgia quarterback Matt Stafford to Denver. I am not sure what the Bucs would offer, but it would probably have to involve another team in the mix to bring a quarterback to Denver. The Browns on the other hand have the most to offer the Broncos in return with Brady Quinn or Derek Anderson.

Who will the Broncos deal with? No idea, but if they were going to get the most for Cutler they should do the deal with the Browns.

Veteran players in the NFL, especially wide receivers can potentially be huge for a team looking to improve their offense.

There are only two of these veteran wide outs available right now that could make a big difference for an NFL franchise. The first is Marvin Harrison who is a guaranteed hall of famer after being Peyton Manning's favorite target in Indianapolis. Harrison would be a great addition for any team, he doesn't come with any baggage like TO or Ocho Cinco, he just comes to play.

Torry Holt is the other veteran wide out on the market right now after he requested to be released from a St. Louis Rams team going absolutely nowhere. Holt isn't exactly problem-free due to his big mouth, but he makes up for that with his production on the field. All Holt would need is another shot at the number one or two wide out spot on a team with a good quarterback and he could be one of the best receivers in the league yet again.

Over the years there have been some amazing wide receivers that have come and gone in the NFL. From Jerry Rice to Tim Brown and now Marvin Harrison. The Indianapolis Colts future hall of famer has finally said his goodbyes to Peyton Manning and Colts, but not because he is calling it quits, but because Indianapolis have decided to cut their ties.

Although Harrison is definitely on the downside of his NFL career, he is still a very consistent wide receiver that could be the missing piece to the puzzle for a title contender.

It is not the question of if Harrison will land another job in the NFL, but more of a question of when and where.

There plenty of teams out there that could definitely use Harrison like the Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots and Oakland Raiders just to name a few. There has been no favorite in the running for Harrison's veteran services, but it won't be long before some team takes a chance on the future hall of fame wide receiver.

In what was three team race coming down the decision day, wide receiver and receptions leader for the past three seasons TJ Houshmandzadeh has decided to sign with the Seattle Seahawks.

Smart move? Definitely not if he was looking to win any time soon.

The Seahawks may have been one of the most dominant teams in the NFC over the past decade, but they have definitely started their decline into mediocrity.

First it was letting go of superstar running back Shaun Alexander for lack of production, then it was seeing the rapid decline of quarterback Matt Hasselback. The Seahawks just aren't the same team anymore. Signing Houshmandzadeh was definitely a step in the right direction, but they will be going through a rebuilding process for at least the next two to three years or so.

Houshmandzadeh's other two options were staying with the lowly once promising Cincinnati Bengals or joining Adrian Peterson with the Minnesota Vikings. Looking at this from my perspective, signing with the Vikings was a no brainer. The Bengals are a mess and the Seahawks might not be good again for the next five seasons while the Vikings have arguably the best running back in the game and have recently added quarterback Sage Rosenfels from the Houston Texans. Everything seems to point in the winning direction for Minnesota while the other two teams, unless a miracle happens, will be down in the dumps for quite a while.

TJ did play his college ball in Seattle, so he does have ties there which was most likely his deciding factor for signing with the Seahawks.

One thing is for certain though, if Hasselback can get back to form, Housmandzadeh could possibly turn into one of the top three or four receivers in the NFL.

With seemingly every free agent jumping ship in the NFL the league should have a whole new look next season.

One of the superstars that will without a doubt be in a different uniform next season will be the Cincinnati Bengals wideout TJ Houshmandzadeh who wants to play anywhere, but Cincinnati and I can't blame him.

At point a few years ago the Bengals look to have one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL with both Houshmandzadeh and Ocho Cinco catching passes from one of the most promising young quarterbacks in the league in Carson Palmer. Problem was Palmer couldn't stay healthy and Ocho Sinko couldn't keep his mouth shut. This eventually resulted in the Bengals becoming the most unachieving teams in the NFL.

Last season was probably their worst season yet as they were just horrible without Palmer for the majority of the year.

As a result everyone wants to go elsewhere including Pro Bowl receiver TJ Houshmandzadeh. There are quite a few places he could land, but one place that keeps coming up as his most likely destination is with the Philadelphia Eagles which would be a perfect fit!

It is official, even though we knew it was going to happen awhile ago, Adam "Pacman" Jones is no longer a part of the Dallas Cowboys.

At one point in the season I actually started to like Pacman, he seemed like he had a good sense of humor and I was sold with he was on Hard Knocks thing last summer. Had to figure it was eventually going to end up just like this though.

Who knows what Pacman has done in the past. Whenever an athlete gets in trouble these days all sorts of people start to pop up from no where are starting mouthing off about how they did this or that in the past and the media just eats it up.

More more media coverage on everything negative on sports these days it is hard to actually find out how won the game today or who had a great game. Instead it is all about steroids, drug charges and domestic abuse. Maybe the athletes deserve everything they get and the media is starting to throw the hammer down, but it is getter harder and harder to become a fan when seemingly every athlete has done something awful one point in his or her career.

Immediately after the Super Bowl all sorts of questions about next season started to get talked about, even some questions as ridiculous as who will win the next big game. Most of these questions though are about some of the most popular players future's with their teams or in the NFL.

One of the biggest questions yet again this off season will be whether or not Brett Favre will come back for one more season with the New York Jets and new defensive minded head coach Rex Ryan.

As of right now it is looking like a resounding NO from the hall of fame quarterback, but much like last season you can't believe anything that comes from Favre's mouth when it comes to retirement. Out of all the quarterbacks I have been privledged to been able to watch in my life like Joe Montana, Dan Marino and John Elway, Brett Favre is by far my favorite. Not because he is the only one still playing, but to me Favre is the only one who shows his true passion for the game while playing. Don't get me wrong, Marino, Montana and Elway were passionate guys, but Favre out shines them all in my opinion.

Brett Favre just shows what the game is all about, the competitive fire, the desire to win and an all out love for the game of football. He has been a pain in the ass over the last couple of season with his inability to make a decision, but honestly I really can't blame him if he can still play at a high level.

I'm sure will be hearing plenty on whether or not he will come back and like I said he is leaning towards calling it a career, but I do hope he decides to give it another go as he is by far my favorite quarterback of all time!

The Super Bowl - The biggest event of the year and the biggest question is who will win and will they cover the spread.

My Take - This game will come down to just a few things can the Cardinals protect Kurt Warner and can the defense of the Cardinals continue to play at the pace that got them through the NFC?

I am going out on limb but  I am going to say NO to both. The Steelers will be the most physical team the the Cardinals have played all year.If you can't run the football and you become one dimensional you allow the Steelers to just pin there ears back and come after the quarterback.

The pressure will get to Warner and ghe will be forced in to a few mistakes and that will be the difference in the game. The fairy tale end Feb 1st as the Steelers win 34-17.

Steelers 34

Cardinals 17

Take the Steelers - 7 and take them to the bank.
